Xcaret is a dwarf - small and new to what lies beyond her island's waters. But if there's anything she's learned in her few years of life, it is that the unknown remains not known by those who don't stick their heads out of their holes.

ISLANDS

Long ago, when the World Government first came upon Far Flung, a group of enslaved dwarves was tasked with surveying the island in exchange for their freedom. However, after a week of visitation, something unexpected occurred: south of the island’s center, a gargantuan sinkhole emerged, swallowing land until the sea began to feed its insatiable hunger. It was during the unraveling chaos that the chief of command, the leader of the exploration, fled, leaving the dwarves to their slow, albeit inevitable demise.Shortly thereafter, the World Government erased every mention of the island: from manuscripts to map charts to people aware of its existence. Consequently, for the longest time after, Far Flung was believed to have been nothing more than a phantom island… That is, until refugees washed ashore.In a show of gratitude, Far Flung earned its name from the sole fishman who assisted the enslaved dwarves during the sinking: Farluaang. It is thanks to him that not a single (tiny) soul lost their life. It was also thanks to his kindness and courage that the island’s current-day fishfolk and dwarves live in cohabitation.

ABOUT

South of even the southernmost South Blue islands and nearly entirely tucked into the sea, you can find Far Flung Archipelago, an island mistakenly called an archipelago after the sea reclaimed the majority of it. Most of which is still very much there! Just... tucked under thousands of pounds of water… and obscured by a relentless cascade falling into unknown depths… and also overrun by fishfolk… But let’s ignore that and focus on being educational!For first-time visitors: it is exceedingly ill-advised for non-dwarves to set foot on the southernmost and northernmost regions of the “archipelago” unless granted special permission or there is a state of emergency. Both areas are considered residences and unsupervised dueling grounds; if any non-dwarf chooses to proceed inland, they do so at their own risk and under their own safety.

GOVERNMENT

No association. Due to its history with the World Government, all visitors to Far Fung are strictly forbidden to alert government officials to its existence. Suppose that one does and is discovered to have done so - the consequences are not light. Additionally, should any government agent attempt to approach, any and all acts of violence are permissible.

FOREIGN RELATIONS

While it is common to know that Finders Keepers find it incredibly hard to trust outsiders, it is uncommon to know about the swarms of fishmen making the sunken parts of Far Flung their home. Built atop algae-coated agriculture and residing in water-filled caves, Far Flung’s underwater residents have encapsulated this expansive domain as a safe haven. And though they prefer a peaceful life, this does not mean the island’s surrounding waters are not protected from trespassers or unfamiliar carriers.

WILDLIFE (FLORA & FAUNA)

Far Flung's dwarves, close yet distant relatives of the Green Bit dwarves, call themselves the Finders Keepers, though they are more commonly known as Scavengers for their primitive appearances and behaviors: an average elder Finder Keeper can tower a Tontatta at adulthood, their bodies are bulky, filled with hardened muscle from their extensive lifestyles, and in a unique show of mimicry, their tails are a perfect copy of the island’s fauna. After all, they don’t just look like it; they’re just as tough! Step too close to one, and you’ll very quickly figure out how resilient their hardened exterior is!
